Chlapik recovering nicely

According to The Guardian, Ottawa Senators prospect Filip Chlapik has made steady progress on recovering from an upper-body injury that has kept him sidelined since the second round of the QMJHL playoffs.

Drafted in the second round (48th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry draft, Chlapik had 54 points in 52 games with the Charlottetown Islanders. In 116 QMJHL games, Chlapik has scored 45 goals and picked up 84 assists (129 points.)

Turris “almost” 100%

Speaking to the Ottawa Citizen, Senators forward Kyle Turris had this to say about his high ankle sprain that cut his season short:

“The last two, three weeks have been very good,I  got on the ice for the first time a week ago, and felt good. In training, I’m doing things I could do before so I’m almost back to 100%.”
